t: hello. i’m mary. what’s your name?

t: nice to meet you.
教師同時可以和學生握手來表示這句話的意思。
學生遲疑地說出nice to meet you.
t: hello, i’m mary. nice to meet you.
s: nice to meet you.
如此對話嘗試四五個學生后，板書，讓學生跟讀。
教師要特別注意meet you的連讀。
t: 我說很高興見到你，你可以說“nice to meet you.”，但如果你說“nice to meet you.，too.”會更好，因為它表示我也很高興見到你。
教師繼續用剛才的方法訓練孩子說nice to meet you，too.
t: hello, i’m mary. nice to meet you.
s: nice to meet you，too.
2. teach “this is…”
t: i will introduce someone to you.
t: this is david.
david: hello. s: hello. david.
t: read after me “this is…”
t: who can introduce this one for us?
s: this is nancy.
t: excellent!
t: now let’s continue.
教師此時可以用“開火車”的方法讓學生練習“this is …”這個句型。如果教師有人物的圖片也會便于這個步驟的實施。

⑶由學生舉手分角色朗讀。
⑷給學生創造情景，進行表演。
可由教師扮演一個角色，然后再邀兩位同學參與。
