1. 教師利用教具鐘以what’s the time? it’s….句型引導學生學習含有past和to的表示時間的詞組。
t: (教師事先將鐘撥到6:30) what’s the time?
s1: it’s six thirty.
t: yes, it’s half past six. (教師將鐘撥到6:50)what’s the time?
s2: it’s six fifty.
t: yes, it’s ten to seven. (將鐘撥到6:45) what’s the time?
s3.: it’s six forty-five.
t: yes, it’s a quarter to seven.
2.在學生已掌握時間表達法的基礎上，教師將教具鐘撥到相應的點鐘并說it’s half past six. it’s time to get up.再將鐘撥到6:45,問學生what time is it?引導學生回答it’s a quarter to seven.后，教師說yes, it’s time for breakfast. let’s have breakfast.引出what time is it? it’s time for….句型。教師示范發音，學生靜聽、模仿、跟讀
3.設置情境，教師說it’s thursday today. david has a lot of things to do. he’s busy. he has no rest.邊擺手邊裝著休息狀,引出單詞rest。
4.閱讀短文，畫出不理解的單詞或詞組，一起解決。
5. 出示本部分三個場景的掛圖，逐步呈現對話，讓學生看圖聽錄音，整體了解會話內容。引出、學習本部分單詞、詞組以及相關句型。
6. 聽錄音，學生模仿、跟讀會話。

step 1. revision
1.做游戲復習1-100英語單詞
2.play a game : bingo!來復習數詞.
step 2 listen to a rhyme 聽本課的歌謠兩遍，邊聽邊用手打節奏。
step 3 presentation and drill 新授和操練
1. 出示一教具鐘，教師口述what time is it? it’s….分別引出含有past和to的表示時間的詞組。
2. 引導學生觀察含有past和to的表示時間的詞組，體會、發現past和to的用法。
3. 學生小組內練說含有past和to的表示時間的詞組，使學生盡快掌握此類時間表達法。
4. 出示幾點一/三刻的鐘面，師生問答what time is it? it’s a quarter past/to… .引出單詞quarter，強調單詞中字母組合ar的發音，教師示范發音，學生靜聽、模仿、跟讀、拼讀。
