3. demonstrate the conversation in picture 2. get the pupils to repeat the conversation after me.
4. ask two pupils to role-play tim and his mother in picture 2.
5. tell the pupils to work in pairs. ask them to look at picture 3, 4 and 5 and role-play tim and his mother.
6. ask when’s …’s birthday? about the people in the thought bubbles in pictures 2, 3, 4 and 5.
