2 pretend to wash the dishes and water the plants. make sentences and write the sentences on the board.
3 use two chairs to make a bed. say i’m in the bedroom. i can make the bed. write the second sentence on the board.
4 show transparency. play the pupil’s book cassette and point to the speech bubble. ask the pupils to repeat after the cassette.
practice
1 show transparency. point to the robot and ask what’s this? then ask do you have a robot? does your robot help at home?
2 show the pupils the small pictures of the robot doing the household jobs. ask where’s the robot? what’s he doing?
3 read pat’s question and tim’s answer. ask the pupils to repeat them after me. point to another picture and ask the pupils to change tim’s answer accordingly.
4 tell the pupils to role-play pat asking tim about the robot’s actions in each picture.
play a miming game
ask some pupils to come up and ask them to mime the activities using the props. get the other pupils to guess the phrases.
