4 mime each of the games for the pupils (e.g. two hands moving upwards for volleyball, kicking for football, bouncing a ball for basketball, hitting a shuttle cock for badminton and twisting the wrist hitting a ping-pong ball for table tennis). say and write the names of each sport after i mime it. hold up a word card and ask the pupils to mime.
5 show transparency. play the pupil’s book cassette and point to the speech bubble. ask the pupils to repeat after the beeps.

1 (books open.) show transparency. read the child’s speech bubble. get the pupils to point to the correct photo.
2 point to the other photos and ask the pupils to make similar sentences about the games the children are playing in each of them.
