[考查目標(biāo)]此題主要考查短語的介詞搭配問題。
[答案與解析]b have mercy on / upon 是固定短語，只能使用介詞 on 或upon。另外，短語中的mercy是不可數(shù)名詞，前面不可加不定冠詞。
10. on one condition該介詞短語意為“規(guī)定一個條件”。
he allowed me to do it on one condition.
on condition that 這是一短語連詞 (=only if)，引導(dǎo)條件狀語從句。i'll give you the day off on condition that you work on saturday morning.

▲ 辨析：pay back 還給。只說歸還，但不談還清與否；而pay off是還清了。
