[考查目標]同義詞辨析。
[答案與解析]b observe表示“注意力很集中地去觀察
某一現象，尤其是科學方面的現象。notice表示“注意
到”；watch指集中注意力觀看發展、變化、移動的東西.
有時舍有欣賞之意。glance為vi. ，不能直接接賓語。

▲辨析：manners；means；method；way
四詞均意為“方法、方式”。way既可指做事的方法，也
可指思想方法、生活方式等。method指系統的、具有一
定理論性的方法，強調條理性和高效率。means指方
法、方式和工具，單復數相同。manners指(按照傳統習
慣或個人主觀的標準衡量的)行為方式、舉止、禮貌。
該組詞的介詞搭配各不相同：用這個辦法：with this
method, in this way, by this means。例如：
it's considered bad manners to stare at people. 瞪著眼
睛看人是不禮貌的。
the quickest means of travel is by plane. 最快的旅行方
式是乘飛機。
we must improve the method of teaching english. 我們
必須改進英語教學方法。
you should use different methods to solve different
problems. 你應該用不同的方法解決不同的問題。
